Australian boxer George Kambosos Jr. is confident that Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao will defeat Australian fighter Jeff Horn in six rounds.
“It’s unreal. Manny’s a legend. I’m just learning and happy to be here. Jeff’s gonna come in hungry but Manny’s always hungry. The way he’s training, he’s training like an animal. I think Manny will get rid of him in six rounds,” said Kambosos, one of Pacquiao’s sparring partners in his training in General Santos City.
Kambosos, who has a boxing record of 12-0 with seven knockouts, said that despite having the same nationality with Horn, he is here to support Pacquiao.
“The Australian boxing community… we all know each other. I don’t know, owe him (Jeff Horn) anything. I don’t need his permission. I’m here to help Team Pacquiao,” he said.
Kambosos, who is 9th on the WBA World Lightweight Ranking, is also being trained by Coach Freddie Roach and Coach Justin Fortune.
Meanwhile, in the same report, Pacquiao said he is open to another match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“Kung active siya at active pa ako, posible. Di ko sinasara ‘yung pinto,” Pacquiao said.
