WBO world welterweight champion Jessie Vargas is confident that he will triumph over Manny Pacquiao when he defends his title against the Filipino ring icon on November 5 (November 6 in the Philippines) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment since I was eight years old. This moment is not so big. It’s here and I am going to take full advantage of it,” said Vargas.
“When you envision something in your head over and over again it’s like a movie placing you in that position and once you are there you’re ready. That’s the way I see it.”
Furthermore, the 27-year-old Vargas, who holds a record of 27-1 with 10 knockouts, says he’s more than ready for what would be the toughest challenge of his career boxing yet.
“I am so ready for this,” told Vargas. “I am in the best shape of my life, I have never felt this strong or this powerful. I am going to win this fight, that’s how good I feel about it.” —ALG, GMA News
